Why Diets Don't Work
Lifestyle changes do! By Dr. Regan Golob, DC Obesity is reaching epidemic proportions in this country. Weight loss drugs and diet herbs, diet drinks and diet plans are advertised everywhere. Even people who are not grossly overweight usually wish they could look a little better in a swimsuit, and yet just can't lose that extra 10 pounds. I feel the main reason they can't lose weight is toxins. Toxins are stored in body fat, especially brown fat, which cannot go away until the toxins are removed. So, to lose weight easily, support and cleanse your liver and other organs of elimination. Alkalize your body with bioavailable minerals, fruits and veggies so that it does not have to retain water to dilute the acidic foods, and you are going to lose weight. Many of my friends and patients have lost 10, 20 or 30 pounds very quickly with this, and it is a wonderful energy boost as well. 7 DAY DIET
This 7-day eating plan can be used as often as you like. As a matter of fact, if followed correctly it will clean your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well-being you never thought possible. After seven days of this process, you will begin to feel lighter by at least 10 pounds - possibly more - up to 17 pounds and have an abundance of energy. Continue this plan for as long as you wish (although it is probably better to use it every other week and modify your regular eating habits on the week you are not on this plan).
DAY 1: Your first day will consist of all the fruits you want except bananas. For those who like melon, two fruits that are lower in calories than most other fruits are watermelon and cantaloupe. Should you eat the melon, your chances of losing 3 pounds the first day are great. No soup.
DAY 2: All vegetables. Eat until you are stuffed with all the fresh or raw vegetables of your choice. Try to eat green, leafy vegetables and stay away from dry beans, peas and corn (not a veggie). You may also have a large baked potato with butter on your vegetable day. No soup.
DAY 3: Fruits and vegetables. Same as day 1 and day 2, except no potato. Start T-j Soup and continue through Day 7.
DAY 4: Eat fresh or canned tuna fish and drink as much as 8 glasses of water along with T-j soup. Have at least 4 dates. They are high in carbohydrates and will lessen any craving for sweets.
DAY 5: Chicken breast and vegetables. You can have 10 to 20 ounces of chicken and 6 tomatoes on this day. Try to drink at least 8 glasses of Pi Mag filtered water (distilled if that isn't available), also.
DAY 6: Fish and vegetables. Eat until your heart is content with fish and vegetables. NO POTATO.
DAY 7: Brown rice, fruit juice (unsweetened) and vegetables. Again, stuff!
RECIPE FOR T-J MIRACLE SOUP Six large onions, two green peppers, whole tomatoes (fresh or canned), large head of cabbage, large stalk of celery, season with Bernard Jenson's Broth or Seasoning (health food store). Cut veggies and cover with water in a large pot. Boil for 10 minutes. Cover, lower heat and simmer until veggies are soft. This soup can be eaten at any time when you feel hungry during the day. Eat as much of it and as often as you like because it will not add calories. The more you eat, THE MORE YOU LOSE!
